A clever satire with a great soundtrack and a terrific performance by Pat Skipper.

This was one of the best short films I have seen in a very long time,. So much richer than anything I saw at the Oscar's. A Black Comedy Noir for the modern age. It's a generational square-off between the Millennials and the Baby-Boomers, with neither faction really "winning".

The story of an idealistic arts collective veering into terrorism takes unexpected turns, especially as internal betrayals and shifting motives blur the line between justice and chaos. Helen Laser and Yair Ben-Dor are magnetic, but it’s Pat Skipper—world-weary and oddly serene as the abducted D.R.—who quietly dominates the screen. His performance adds a layer of tragic wit, as if being kidnapped was just another appointment in a very long day. Marike van Dijk’s haunting, evocative score—reminiscent of Waaxman’s "Rear Window"—is the perfect sonic companion to the film’s shadowy aesthetic. Smart, sharp, and beautifully shot, it’s a noir for our anxious age.
